| List of Changes
|
As you can see, I made some major changes to this index page. I removed all links off the site and fixed some of the other links that were broken. I decided not to link off the site because a lot of them go down and cause broken links. Also, it will help in the long run if someone backs up SG because they can then browse the site on their computer without an internet connection and it would look just like they were on the real site. Also, I removed the warning at the top. Some people were alarmed and wondered if we planned on pulling the site soon. That isn't the case; we just encourage people to download items they find interesting and useful in case something happens.
Also, there are a few minor changes I made and will make such as fixing links and adding some things. Eventually there will be more major changes, like HTML pages for each folder (rather than the simple Apache-generated page you see in the pages to the right of Downloads) and RightMusic audio files added from the now-defunct site.

| First Update in a While
|
Hi everybody. I decided to post this after looking through the Internet Archives at what this site looked like at the dawn of 2007. We were optimistic about what 2007 had in store, and if you scroll down some you'll see where it says "Archive System, DeadLinks, Request" as part of the title. The first one reminds us of the new year optimistic spirit that we should hold, and the latter is a message that was mostly to us at Solar General but anyone can see that things were happening as far as the site's construction was concerned. There was always something to fix, improve, or make on the site. But scroll down on this page some, and you'll only see a handful of news articles since August 2007. Since the site was pulled from Stormfront's servers, we have been more focused on organization of files and adding things rather than making the site interactive. I'd like to restore Solar General to the good old days- we'll post news items more regularly and keep you up to date on what's happening with the site.
I looked through the Internet Archives because I had files missing in my backup. From that alone, you can tell that there's a major problem. I had some htm files that were from the Archives and not from my site. They linked to the Archives and I do not have local copies. Although I can download that page and the pages it links to, there are missing images and so forth that are somewhat more difficult to find. I have the main index page of some ebooks that have separate pages for each chapter and I only have the main page, and it links to the Archive for the chapter pages. Therefore, I encourage everyone to download what they use often, and eventually I will devise a method of providing full backups, perhaps mailing hard drives to those who request them. Of course, I need to fix my own backup so it is an exact mirror of the site and there are no broken links, unintentional links to Wayback Machine, or any other problems. I'll give regular updates on progress.

It has come to my attention that some of the Turner Diaries audio was missing, so I uploaded a new folder that has everything broken up into several minute chunks. It was originally on 8 CDs and the short tracks will work well with a mp3 player.

Here is our chance to get a great White Nationalist media outlet off th ground in a big way. If we all concentrate on this one project hard enough we just might be able to get some where with this thing called White Nationalism.

| Absolut's Mexico-U.S. Map Angers Many
|
An organization fighting illegal immigration has launched a boycott of Absolut vodka after the Swedish company ran an ad showing large areas of the U.S. as part of Mexico.
A map in the ad depicts Mexico owning California, Texas, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and other U.S. territory, with the slogan, In an Absolut World, and panders to the separatist movement among Mexicans, according to the National Illegal Immigration Boycott Coalition (NIIBC).
There is a rapidly growing separatist movement in the United States that is being fueled by illegal immigration across our southern border with Mexico, the group said in a statement.
While many in the American media try to ignore or play down the threat, this radical movement is much stronger than most Americans know and global companies like Absolut are trying to cash in on it.
Sentiments that the Southwest United States rightfully belong to Mexico are so prevalent in Mexico and among illegal aliens that the Absolut vodka company ran this ad on a billboard and in a Mexican magazine.
The ads message to the Mexican audience is, In an Absolut (i.e., Perfect) world, one-third of the U.S. is returned to Mexican control, according to the NIIBC, which represents more than 100 civic organizations fighting for secure borders and immigration enforcement.
Americans for Legal Immigration (ALIPAC) issued a statement declaring: Over 100 American organizations dedicated to border security and the enforcement of existing immigration laws launched a nationwide boycott of Absolut vodka in response to their ad that ran in Mexico, which panders to a rising separatist movement inside the U.S. that is being fueled by illegal immigration.
ALIPAC said in another statement: History was made when American-made SKYY vodka sent out a press release proudly supporting the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and criticizing Absolut for their offensive advertising in Mexico.
The Treaty ended the Mexican War and gave the U.S. control of California, Nevada and Utah plus parts of Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. The map in the Absolut ad shows Mexico controlling even more U.S. territory than that.
SKYY vodka spokesman Dave Karraker said: Like SKYY vodka, the residents of states like California, Texas and Arizona are exceptionally proud of the fact that they are from the United States of America. To imply that they might be interested in changing their mailing address, as our competitor seems to be suggesting in their advertising, is a bit presumptuous.
